Erasmus+ KA227 "United Colours of Young European Businessmen" student exchange in London 30th of May – 3rd of June 2022
The project „United Colours of Young European Businessmen“ still continues and all the teams met in London this time. On the first week of June all in all 8 teams from UK, Macedonia, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Estonia and St. Maarten were able to gather together and spend a fantastic week full of activities and entertainment in London. There were four Pre-IB students and two teachers travelling to London for this thrilling event.
All days were extremely various and we had a chance to both work and study together and visit many charming attractions in London. Greek Secondary School of London prepared an extraordinary welcoming theatre event and entertaining activities, as well as some workshops, where the students could learn more about entrepreneurship, share with others the system and principles of starting a company in their own country, and even develop international business ideas representing a small company according to their interest. The workshops were active and involving, and the students got an excellent opportunity to communicate with people from different parts of the world sharing their ideas, emotions, experiences and thoughts.
On Monday all the guests were welcomed by the students of Greek Secondary School of London with open arms and a magnificent theatrical performance „Antigone“ was prepared. During all other days we had some activities and workshops, not forgetting at the same time to visit the British Museum, London Museum, London Museum of Docklands, Greenwich, see Big Ben, The Palace of Westminster (informally known as the House of Parliament,) London Bridge, London Eye and many many other London sightseeings.
On the last day of the trip all the students were able to participate in the training course devoted to using 3D printers. They learned how to set a 3D printer, how to design an object using specified tools and even printed an object of their own. The issue of the certificates was also held on the same day, so all the participants got their certificates of attendance and the school representatives received memorable gifts and souvenirs.
All in all, this exchange was a superb experience which all of us, without a shadow of doubt, will remember forever. We visited the museums, got to see some amazing and breathtaking spots in London and, what is the most important, we met a lot of fantastic, friendly, affectionate and extremely warm-hearted people. We shared our ways of lives, we had a chance to immerse ourselves in a different culture and we definitely acquired some new knowledge, which will be absolutely beneficial for every participant.
Our next „United Colours of Young European Businessmen“ project meeting is planned to happen in December this year. And this time we will welcome our dear guests here in Tallinn and will introduce them to our culture and traditions!
