CERV project GreenMove will have next meeting in Fano, Italy 19–22th of November 2025.

The Municipality of Fano is proud to host the fourth transnational meeting of the GreenMove project from November 19 to 22, 2025. Under the theme “Enhancing Rural Mobility through Integrated Public Transport Systems and Shared Mobility Solutions,” this pivotal gathering will bring together approximately 80 participants from 16 countries to tackle rural isolation and champion fundamental rights through sustainable transportation.

The workshop aims to elevate awareness of core European values—such as solidarity, social inclusion, and territorial cohesion—by demonstrating how accessible, integrated transport is a fundamental right that connects citizens to opportunities, services, and each other.

A Collaborative Blueprint for Rural Mobility

The four-day event is designed to translate theory into actionable strategies. A central feature will be a roundtable discussion uniting local authorities, transportation providers, and community members. This diverse forum will facilitate a direct exchange of ideas and foster collaborative strategy development, ensuring that solutions are grounded in real-world needs and expertise.

“True sustainability cannot be achieved without inclusivity,” said a representative of the Municipality of Fano. “This meeting is about building mobility systems that leave no one behind, reinforcing the very fabric of our rural communities and our shared European identity.”

Bridging Culture and Data for Sustainable Solutions

The agenda balances forward-looking planning with deep cultural immersion. Participants will engage in cultural visits across Fano, including the historic Town Hall, to appreciate the town’s rich heritage. These tours are designed to inspire a sense of shared responsibility for preserving cultural and community assets, mirroring the project's goals for environmental stewardship. Concurrently, a crucial component of the meeting will be targeted data collection on current rural mobility scenarios, transportation needs, and existing infrastructure. This valuable research will provide the evidence base to develop tailored, effective, and integrated public transport and shared mobility solutions.

Advancing a Key Resource for Europe's Rural Communities

A significant outcome of the Fano meeting will be the development of the fourth segment of the GreenMove Interactive Sustainable Living Guidebook (GISLG). This chapter will specifically focus on raising awareness of fundamental rights and EU values in the context of sustainable transportation infrastructure. It will highlight the importance of solidarity and shared responsibility, serving as a practical resource for rural communities across Europe to build more inclusive and connected futures. The guidebook will be finalized after incorporating insights from 17 partner presentations and the comprehensive data gathered during the event.

The outcomes and key findings from the workshop will be published online on the official websites and social media channels of all participating municipalities, ensuring the wide dissemination of best practices and innovative strategies.
