Erasmus+ youth workers' training course "Make Gender Equity Reality!" in St.Maarten is approved.
The main activity is a 9-day training course for 24 youth workers + 3 trainers that will take place in St. Maarten 15–23 of March 2024.
During this week we will explore meanings, roles, and complementarities of different educational approaches and methods regarding gender issues, stereotypes, and discrimination. This training course is directed to 24 youth workers, that are going to participate in this project, and furthermore, pass their knowledge and teach skills they gained to others.
Objectives

During the 10 months of the project, 24 youth workers that will participate will understand and gain knowledge about the role, importance, and possibilities of NFE methods in their work with youth by using drama methods regarding gender equality.

By taking part in a project 24 youth workers will improve, explore meanings, roles, and complementarities of different educational approaches and methods (formal, nonformal, informal) by implementing and practicing non-formal regarding gender issues.

During 10 months of the project, participants will understand the principles of NFE and its effects on elements as program building. We will also teach and stimulate the participants to feel and reflect on the power of Non- Formal Education and drama by experiencing different kinds of educational methods in regard to gender identity and gender issues.
